On 15 January, MILA held a highly successful convening event, Seizing the moment: collaborating on UK media & information literacy policy’. This attracted 50+ participants from from over forty organisations to examine the state of play with media and information literacy in the UK, and to identify possible, practical collaborative activities to make the case for MIL over the coming year. We will soon post more information about how we propose to take  forward the outcomes of the event, collectively with partners – the wish for partnership working was clearly evident during discussions on the day. In the meantime, click on the link below for slides summarising the key elements of the gathering, with information about attendees and their areas of expertise, ideas for future collaboration and participant feedback.

We are grateful to Infosys for having hosted the event, and to all participants for their valuable input – in particular to Helen McStravick from DfE for briefing us on next steps with the Curriculum and Assessment Review.
